I decided to start again my blog with a great book that inspired me, it’s RUSHED by Brian Harmon, this book has completely caught me from page 1, it was incredible! the mood among the couple makes you feel chemistry and this allows you to  breathe through the whole situation between suspense and mystery that, i tell you that never leaves your brain, I had to make obligatory pauses in my reading because I have a 13 months baby, otherwise I would had read in one sitting. this is an awesome book, I really love it, and i highly recommend it, cannot wait to see how the author develops next book, Brian Hermon is so original that I love him from now on.

Eric can’t remember the recurring dream that keeps waking him in the middle of the night with an overwhelming urge to leave, and that is exactly what he does, he go after that strange feeling, and that is what’s he finds out… the plot would keep you to the extreme the whole time and you will be submerged in a pool of surprises and details making your imagination work, and even better…the end will leave you frozen. This book should be a movie!

Books and Movies

Never judge a book by it’s movie.

Books and films, I love them both, but when i see a movie about a book… let’s face it, the film never got a chance, so i decided to open this space to share with you opinions, information and comments, books that should be movies, movies that ruined the book, books that shouldn’t be movies, good movies, good books, and everything about it.

Angel After Darkreleasing in January, 2014.

The series is full of fun, snarky banter and hotter-than-hell love-play as the chemistry explodes between them!  But don’t worry, in typical Kahlen fashion, there will be tears, heartache and angst as they fight it out for control over each other and more, fight their own conflicted feelings.
Throw in a little mistrust, betrayal and danger…and it’s ON!
Watch for cover reveal, blog tour sign up and more tasty treats, coming soon…..

December has been crazy for me! but tomorrow I will post a few reviews about wonderful books I had the pleasure of reading these days <3 I’m so happy!

Appliantology and the Art of Procrastination

So, my washing machine quit today, stopped draining. Third load of laundry for the day, thank goodness the jeans made it through. Too bad I had to hand-wring all his underwear and socks. It’s not really a surprise. I have many gifts, but appliance maintenance and upkeep are not among them. I intended to follow the instructions in the owner’s manual, but do you know what lives behind the washing machine? Okay, I don’t either, but I can imagine. I was working myself up to vacuum what I’m pretty sure could be carnivorous spider colonies out from under it. After that, I figured I’d be in the zone to start cleaning out moldy clots of wet pet hair and other gag-reflex challenging items. Except I hadn’t yet. And this is my punishment for procrastinating. Fine. I decontaminated the area and began trouble-shooting. Unfortunately, it turns out I know next to nothing about front-loading ultra-capacity steaming cleaning washing machines. So, after draining it manually several times, and mopping up the resulting flood, I turned to the Internet. And I discovered: The Samurai Appliance Repair Academy or, The Appliantologist. Is that great or what? A name like that is almost worth a non-draining washing machine. Frankie, the heroine of Saving the Sheriff, isn’t guilty of procrastination so much as poor planning. Or as she calls it, “felony foolishness.” Her lack of foresight ended up with her driving straight into a vicious Montana blizzard, which could have been deadly. Fortunately, I had something else in mind for her! Or should I say, someone else. My heroine handled her situation with more grace and fewer unsavory mutterings than I handled mine. Turns out my ignorance is beyond even the help of the Samurai Appliantologist. We’ve got a guy coming next week. And I vow to follow the maintenance schedule. Really!

So, now it’s your turn: What situations could you have been prevented with a little foresight? What tasks do you tend to put off as long as possible?

MINE by Katy Evans

I thought I was attached to Remington Tate on REAL… oh no, this is another whole level… this book was beyond my expectations, I felt so elated from page one; and i was very happy when i find out that this series is right on my favorite part in every story, exactly when they become stronger, the story is so intense, uninhibited and wholehearted therefore astonishing that I couldn’t put it down. It was totally addictive, just like «Real».

«Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE

I was worried for Remy’s stability at some point, it feels weird how much he want to possess her, but we got to understand his whole life, and we got a glimpse in this book, a little hint to this epic and complex man that we love, and that leads me to “REMY” the release date is 11-26-2013, and it can’t come fast enough for me, I think that book will bring to us so much lucidity about that subject, because Brooke reads Remy’s head perfectly, but i need to be inside that head!!! I could not stop thinking about Remy’s childhood and life before «Real» … Well, we are so close to know exactly what he thinks, the story right from his perspective, I can’t wait to get my hands on that book!

«Remington has been abandoned his whole life. Parents. Teachers. Friends. Even me.Nobody has ever stuck with him long enough to show him he’s worth it…»

I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL NOV. 26!!!!!remy

THE APPLE TREE by Kara Jimenez

You know that warm feeling when you find a sweet story with a GREAT plot? Well I get that right now, I feel that I found a treasure with this book, is beyond five stars for me, definitely a MUST READ, it is a beautiful story with a plot that is full of mystery, enigmatic suspense, secrets and stories mixed up all in one, and it is so well written, i read a complete story and it felt so right, I enjoyed it so much the time with this book because a lot happens but nothing is left hanging, at the end of this book there is no cliffhanger and still I wanted more of those characters.

«Over a hundred and fifty years ago, Levi Elwood and Peter Cabrera had their world turned upside down when they ate a slice of apple pie. Through the loss and heartbreak that followed, their friendship turned to loathing as both men struggled to come to terms with their new and unusual life.
One fall evening, his life changes forever when a beautiful redhead wanders onto the property.
Bianca unknowingly becomes entangled in a centuries old feud that could leave her and her loved ones in grave danger. Will Levi be able to protect others from the pain of the curse or will Peter get control of the tree and the woman Levi is falling for?»

I felt related with the female character so easily, she’s placing her family first and working hard every day but always enjoying the little beautiful things in life, a normal girl, until she came across Levi, this man that electrified her, not just because he is drop death gorgeous, mysterious and volatile , and let’s face it at the very beginning he’s a little weird, but she feels totally pulled to him, and then there is his cousin Peter, always charming and directly interested in Bianca, but so different to Levi in every way, he’s also attractive and mysterious but also quite the opposite of Levi, at first it seems that the only thing in common between them is Bianca, but that is not correct, there is so much that we can find in this story, fantasy, suspense, romance and one alluring novel, I absolutely love it! I never give spoilers (i hate spoilers), so I’m just going to tell one random feeling i get in the end, but it needs to be said… At the end of this book i felt so happy when the male character didn’t hesitated on do  the things that needed to be done,  and i really appreciated that part because it’s not something I see frequently these days on books… Go Levi!!!

Just Remember to Breathe by Charles Sheehan-Miles

Alex Thompson’s life is following the script. A pre-law student at Columbia University, she’s focused on her grades, her life and her future. The last thing she needs is to reconnect with the boy who broke her heart…

Dylan Paris comes home from Afghanistan severely injured and knows that the one thing he cannot do is drag Alex into the mess he’s made of his life.

I have read some good reviews about this novel, and somehow I was prepared to suffer through this story, BUT no, this was so beautiful and warm! And is related in alternative points of view, which is why I love it so much, because I didn’t get any doubts about the feelings of this pair, in this hard situation.

“I’d say you’re worth falling in love with twice.”

Dylan Paris is exactly the kind of man  I love to read about, he has a tough life and an even rougher past, but he overcame all the crap in his life and he made something great with his life with such integrity, this character is solid, strong, he never lost his will to take every chance to go on and he has those overwhelming feelings about Alex. Alex Thompson is so in love with him that thrills me, I couldn’t wait for those two to be together, I adored the way she recognizes in him a precious connection that she can’t let go, and how much she wants to understand him. This is a heartening and gratifying story, about an immense love between two soul mates, and second chances for those who wait but continuing their internal battles and hopes in life trying to do the right thing, knowing that true love is forever.
